Artist Statement:
"Pushing the language of abstraction is one of my biggest concerns in order to create a visceral sense of experience through space and emotional impact. I like the idea that my paintings are a visual language to psychological space and memory. I often start a painting with a certain thought or feeling and have no preconception of what will come of it. By the end of my process, I will have uncovered something of myself and the world around me that was not there in the beginning. The idea that the unconscious mind can be steps ahead of it all is very exciting to me. My way of presenting movement and emotion through color, lines and shapes become important for navigating the unknown path of memory and imagination. "
